1st Class visit Ballet Ireland

All the 1st classes went on a trip to Ballet Ireland dance studios. They had a great day watching the dancers preparing for their next show Swan Lake. Everyone was amazed at how flexible the dancers were! 

After watching the rehearsals, the children met 3 of the dancers and asked lots of questions- such as how long they had been dancing for, if it was hard to stand on their toes and where they were from.

The children got to practise their own dancing in a real dance studio too! They practised with Stephen who taught them ballet in Senior Infants. Everyone loved the mirrors in the dance studio and enjoyed seeing themselves! The girls and boys had a competition to see who did the best gallops and the girls won! Thank you to Stephen and Ballet Ireland for a great day!
