Seachtain na Gaeilge!!

OFF

Bhí Seachtain na Gaeilge ar siúl ón 17ú – 21ú Márta, an t-am chun ár gcultúr a cheiliúradh le ceol, damhsa, na healaíona agus lenár dteanga álainn uathúil.

Seachtain na Gaeilge ran from the 17th of March – 21st of March, its the time of year when we come together to celebrate our Culture through music, dance, arts and our unique and beautiful language.

Tá na páistí uilig ag obair go dian ag foghlaim damhsaí, amhráin agus dánta as Gaeilge. Tá gach duine ag déanamh sár-iarracht agus táimid go léir ag úsáid Gaeilge ar fud na scoile.

The children worked hard to learn Irish dances, songs and poems. Everybody was trying their best to use Irish throughout the school.

We celebrated Seachtain na Gaeilge with a range of fun activities for all classes including biongó, tráth na gceist, ceolchoirm, and an in-school céilí for all classes.

We had our Lá Glas on Friday, all pupils were encouraged to wear green clothes on the day and we had a very special assembly filled with lots of fantastic children & teachers performing Irish Dancing, singing, a puppet show the tin whistle, bells and flute.

Chun Gaeilge a spreagadh chuireamar na h-ainmneacha i gcrannchur de na daoine is fearr a bhí ag caint as Gaeilge ar an gCéadaoin. Fuair ceathrar paistí duais.

To encourage Irish speaking we put names into a draw of those who spoke Irish and four children won prizes .

Dhún Seachtain na Gaeilge le Céili taobh amuigh sa chlós agus scaoileadh againn balúin glas, bán agus óir sa spéir. Míle buíochas le Woodies as na balúin a chur ar fáil don scoil saor in aisce.

An t-seachtain is fearr a bhí ann riamh!!!

Seachtain na Gaeilge closed with a Céili outside in the yard and we released green, white and gold balloons into the sky. Thank you to Woodies who organised the balloons for our school. Thanks a billion!

It was the best week ever!!!
