Seachtain na Gaeilge

OFF

Bhí Seachtain na Gaeilge ar siúl ón 12ú – 16ú Márta, an t-am chun ár gcultúr a cheiliúradh le ceol, damhsa, na healaíona agus lenár dteanga álainn uathúil.

Seachtain na Gaeilge ran from the 12th of March – 16th of March, its the time of year when we come together to celebrate our Culture through music, dance, arts and our unique and beautiful language.

Tá na páistí uilig ag obair go dian ag foghlaim damhsaí, amhráin agus dánta as Gaeilge. Tá gach duine ag déanamh sár-iarracht agus táimid go léir ag úsáid Gaeilge ar fud na scoile.

The children worked hard to learn Irish dances, songs and poems. Everybody was trying their best to use Irish throughout the school.

We celebrated Seachtain na Gaeilge with a range of fun activities for all classes including biongó, tráth na gceist, ceolchoirm, and an in-school céilí for all classes.

We had our Lá Glas on Friday, all children were encouraged to wear green clothes on the day and we had a very special assembly filled with lots of fantastic children & teachers performing Irish Dancing, singing, a puppet show, bells and guitar.

Chun Gaeilge a spreagadh chuireamar na h-ainmneacha i gcrannchur de na daoine is fearr a bhí ag caint as Gaeilge. Fuair paistí duais.

To encourage Irish speaking we put names into a draw of those who spoke Irish and children won prizes.

Dhún an seachtain na Gaeilge le céilí sa halla.

The week closed with a céilí in the PE hall.

An t-seachtain is fearr a bhí ann riamh!!!

It was the best week ever!!!
