Senior Infants Tour

OFF

Newgrange Farm

Senior Infants visited Newgrange farm for the school tour. It was a beautiful warm day. We set off on the bus all excited. When we arrived at the farm, we were met by our guides. The guides brought us around to see all of the animals. We saw horses, cows, sheep, pigs, goats and a pheasant. We even got to hold baby chicks and a lovely puppy.

We  went on a fantastic tractor drive. We saw sheep and cows in the fields as we passed. We lots of tourists at the Newgrange monument. They waved to us. The farmer had to drive the tractor up a very steep hill. We pushed at the seats in front of us and shouted “Heave ho!” to help push the tractor up the hill.

There were lots of play areas at the farm. we got to climb through tunnels, to play in the sand area and also in the water area. There was also an area for us to practise our driving skills. We each had a tractor and drove around the area.

At the end of the day we had our lunch. What a brilliant day we had!!!

We took LOTS of photos !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
